Jarrett Hurd vs. Oscar Molina replaces Abner Mares vs. Jesus Cuellar on Thurman-Porter main card

Mares withdrew from the bout last week with a medical condition

Keith Thurman vs. Shawn Porter is no longer alone on CBS, as the super welterweight showdown between unbeaten duo Jarrett Hurd and Oscar Molina has been promoted to prime time following Abner Mares' withdrawal due to injury.

The undercard still features the likes of Regis Prograis and David Benavidez, so it's certainly more than robust enough to survive this.

Hurd (17-0, 11 KO) burst onto the scene last November with a lovely knockout of the hyped Frank Galarza, an extremely surprising result it was the former's first time booked for ten rounds and his previous opponent was MMA washout Jeff Lentz. Molina (13-0-1, 10 KO), Mexico's welterweight representative in the 2012 Olympics, last fought in September, when he drew with Domonique Dolton after ten entertaining rounds.

Despite the massive disparity in their BoxRec ranks, it's a well-matched fight between two young men who've proven themselves worth watching. As awesome as Mares vs. Cuellar would have been, this is certainly a worthy replacement. Early picks?
