NOTE - Well, the error has been corrected. I was correct in the initial assessment that this would change everything. I pulled a bit of a Steve Harvey here. I apologize for the inconvenience and any confusion. Going forward i will do better. (Still getting the hang of this in a way.)
Congratulations to season 31 champ Dlewis with 284 points, D made it into the top 5 in week 4 and kept pace with the other leaders for the rest of the season and managed to usurp last season's champ and this season's first runner up in the final week of the season with a strong weekly second place finish.
The rest of the top 4 managed to keep it close and finish with 25 of our overall winner. The top 5 are as follows: In 2nd place we have last season's champ and this season's front runner joebustemup with a very impressive 279.5. In 3rd we have uksb with 272.5, uksb spent nearly the whole season in the top 10 and more than half in the top 5. In 4th place we have our highest climber ekker3 who rode some last minute heroics into 4th place overall with 260.5 points. Rounding out our top 5 is The Demolition Dan with a very respectable 208 points.
Weekly Results: Taking top honors in week 10 was ekker3 with a fantastic 71 points on a 6 for 7 with a bunch of well used multipliers. (pretty sure that's the season high) 2nd place - Dlewis with 51, 3rd place - fizzlefazzle with 48, 4th - hghjmpr with 33.5 and in 5th - The Demolition Dan with 32.5
Note - Vargas / Salido ended in a draw rendering all picks null but Vargas by stoppage.
Another Note - Some of you tried to use multipliers you did not have, so if your score seems off that's probably the reason. If you tried to use more than you had, the last multiplier(s) to be used was simply not counted and the pick was counted as a single.
One More Note - If anybody has any suggestions for improvements or just general ideas for making the game better, feel free to leave them in the comments. Anything that gets brought up and is reasonable will be considered. Example - A possible rules change for losing points on a stoppage pick for a fight that ends in a draw. This will be brought to a vote in the next weekly sheet. Thank you to everyone that participated in my first season running the game. I will continue to improve and hopefully we can get even more people playing soon, also a big thanks to Adam Gershon - he helped behind the scenes all season when i needed anything, couldn't have done it without him.
On Tap: Well, we are right back to it next week with another packed week. It'll be a great opportunity for new-comers and vets alike. Friday action from the UK and Saturday we have a large diverse smattering from all over, including: Namibia, South Africa, upstate New York and NYC. Should be an interesting sheet, packed with points to get the season started strong.
