ShoBox - Lopez vs Reynoso: Live streaming results and round by round coverage

ShoBox is back tonight with four fights from the Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Rosie Cohe/SHOWTIME

Tonight at 10 p.m. ET, ShoBox: The New Generation goes live on Showtime with a quadrupleheader, featuring the return of super bantamweight prospect Adam Lopez in the main event. BLH will be here with live coverage for all four fights.

Lopez (15-0, 7 KO) is a 25-year-old from San Antonio, and has become a ShoBox veteran. He last fought on February 19 in a ShoBox main event, beating Mario Munoz by decision. Tonight, he faces Argentina's Roman Reynoso (18-1-1, 7 KO) in a 10-round bout. Reynoso is making his U.S. debut, after fighting abroad for the first time in May, when he won in Canada.

On the undercard, Jerry Odom (13-2-1, 12 KO) will face Julius Jackson (19-1, 15 KO) in a super middleweight fight; O'Shaquie Foster (10-1, 7 KO) will take on Rolando Chinea (12-1-1, 6 KO) in a lightweight bout; and Khiary Gray (13-0, 10 KO) will face Ian Green (9-1, 7 KO) in the junior middleweight opener. All of those fights are scheduled for eight rounds.

ROUND BY ROUND

ADAM LOPEZ vs ROMAN REYNOSO

Round 1: Lopez with a decent opening round, but he's getting clipped a bit, too. The favored fighter takes this one, but Reynoso is definitely here to fight. He looks really slight for the weight (he's 5'3"), but he's clearly got some fire. Lopez 10-9

Round 2: Reynoso doing a bit better this round, keeping the pace up as much as he can and making Lopez work. Lopez's jab isn't sticking just yet. I liked Reynoso here, and we might have a good fight. Reynoso 10-9, 19-19

Round 3: Lopez opening up some now, trading with Reynoso, and gets the better of that exchange for sure. Lopez landing some hard, short shots inside now. Reynoso throws wide punches, but he's bulling in close with a body shot again. Lopez getting his jab going a bit. Good round for him. Lopez 10-9, 29-28

Round 4: Boy, when I think Lopez might be taking over, here comes Reynoso to keep the fight interesting with some good shots that back Lopez down a couple times in this round. Reynoso 10-9, 38-38

Round 5: Reynoso with another good right early in this round. This is turning into an interesting fight. Lopez being caught napping a bit here. Lopez being talked about as a possible opponent for Jonathan Guzman, and this fight is not suggesting that's a good idea yet. Lopez getting back to the jab as the round wears on. Lopez 10-9, 48-47

Round 6: Lopez with a four punch combination, but Reynoso eats it, stands his ground, and comes right back, marching forward. Lopez tripling up on a hook in close. Lopez's jab working better this round, too. He's starting well in the first half here, then Reynoso lands an uppercut. Lopez with a right, Reynoso with a left, and then a good right hand late in the round, and he ends it doing a little damage. Lopez 10-9, 58-56

Round 7: At worst, Reynoso is making this fight uncomfortable for Lopez. And he takes this round to keep it close, landing some really good shots down the stretch, and just ignoring a clean left hook from Lopez. Reynoso 10-9, Lopez 67-66

Round 8: Reynoso just flat outworking Lopez in this round. He's not doing anything special, Lopez just isn't looking great tonight. Reynoso 10-9, 76-76

Round 9: Well, this thing is coming down to the last two rounds, and it's been interesting. This round probably could go either way. Reynoso has some success with his wide shots, Lopez has some success with his shorter shots. I edge to Lopez. Lopez 10-9, 86-85

Round 10: Close round again, both came out throwing like hell, and both are tired in the final minute. Lopez with a big right that stuns Reynoso, and a left lands after! Reynoso hurt and backing down in the corner. Lopez right hand! Whoops, Reynoso loses the mouthpiece. 17 seconds left. Reynoso has no legs at all. Right hand, left hand, SOMEHOW Reynoso takes the shots! Lopez closes the show strong. Lopez 10-9, 96-94

JERRY ODOM vs JULIUS JACKSON

Round 1: Jackson looks really good in the opening round, Odom not throwing the power shots he usually does, trying to box more than we've seen before. Might not be the best idea. But good news for him is he has that power and Jackson doesn't have the best chin. Still, easy round for Jackson. Jackson 10-9

Round 2: Jackson still boxing pretty well, but Odom starting to throw those big shots now. Hasn't landed clean yet. Odom getting crowded against the ropes late in the round, too. Jackson 10-9, 20-18

Round 3: Antoine Douglas' mom is going nuts at ringside yelling OH! OH OH OH! OH!!! every time Odom maybe lands a punch. Jackson dips into a right hand and gets smashed to bits. It’s over. Odom TKO-3

O'SHAQUIE FOSTER vs ROLANDO CHINEA

Round 1: Chinea coming out fast, but Foster looks very calm, this is not a new stage for him anymore. Chinea's aggression is fairly effective thus far, though. Foster defending well, too, looking to counter off the ropes now. Chinea bringing pure pressure, Foster trying to outbox him. Chinea cracks him with a decent right. I liked Chinea's workrate here, but Foster won the round. Foster 10-9

Round 2: Foster's slickness is the difference, but Chinea is forcing the fight here. Chinea still doing some decent work, and this is a closer round that could conceivably go either way. I like fun, I go for fun. Chinea 10-9, 19-19

Round 3: The fight isn't exactly exciting, but it's not a bad watch. The lack of punching power from both isn't helping, but both guys are letting their hands go, at least. Chinea still crowding Foster pretty well, Foster still countering pretty well. It's an interesting fight, awkward in spots. Foster with some nice work in the last seconds of the round, but a close one again. Foster 10-9, 29-28

Round 4: Chinea just constantly pressing. Foster is landing shots but the pressure of Chinea is effective enough to be seen as effective aggression. Foster squaring up against the ropes. Body shots from Chinea, but that's been somewhat lacking for the style. Again we've got a pretty close round with the guys doing different things, but I liked Foster again. I think he's just been a bit better and has handled the pressure fairly well. Foster 10-9, 39-37

Round 5: Kind of more of the same. Foster is having to work hard, but he is working hard, and he's the better fighter. I think we've seen that separation a bit in the last two rounds. Chinea isn't slowing down, but what he's doing isn't quite good enough. Foster 10-9, 49-46

Round 6: Closer round, Chinea I think may have done enough to take this one, though. Foster didn't get quite as much in in return. Decent fight, but not really compelling. Chinea 10-9, Foster 58-56

Round 7: Chinea really digging in this round, fighting hard and landing clean. He's catching Foster throwing at the same time against the ropes. Chinea 10-9, Foster 67-66

Round 8: Both guys warring here in the final round, but I like Chinea again, and I have him rallying back to draw even. But this could go either way. Chinea 10-9, 76-76

KHIARY GRAY vs IAN GREEN

Round 1: Very pro-Gray crowd, as he's from nearby Worcester, Mass., and he's looking to impress, loading up on shots. Green walks into a couple, left hand is low, and he's hit with two more clean rights. He's fighting shaken, and barely avoids another right hand. Green throws a bomb right of his own, misses, and Gray comes back to land clean again. The only thing I can say about Gray negative here is that he spent a lot of energy in this round throwing bombs. Gray 10-9

Round 2: Green trying to jab, but Gray clips him with a right and follows up with a flush left hook. He's shaken. Gray hurts him again with a right. Gray chasing him, now settles down and waits again. Left hook from Green. Green on his bike, bleeding from the mouth, mouth wide open. But he's buying time if nothing else OH SHIT A HUGE RIGHT FROM GREEN AND GRAY IS DOWN! Gray BARELY makes it back under the count of 10. Green now trying to close, Gray is really hurt. Gray desperately trying to hang on. Green lands a chopping right, and another shot AND GRAY IS DOWN AND THE FIGHT IS OVER!!!! Green TKO-2
