BLH Pick'em Results - Season 32 - Week 8

Another bloodbath of a week. We had more pickers go negative than score over 10 points, and four pickers were -30 or worse. In a season of challenging weeks this might have been the worst yet. This week pretty much turned on who you picked in Santa/Frampton and if you used multipliers or not.

This week's top picks: Clearly the big pick this week was the triple or double on Frampton. Scoring 30 and 20 respectively. We had 3 pickers get those big 30 points (3 of our top 4), conversely we had 6 players lose 30 points on Santa Cruz.  The other high scoring picks were Alvarez by decision, Mikey by stoppage and Farmer to win with multipliers.

This week's big winner is Gennady wants your body (in his first week playing this season) with 59 points on an 5 for 6 week with 3 doubles and a triple that all scored decent points, including the high points of the weekend, the triple on Frampton to win for a huge 30 points. This result moves GWYB from being unranked to 29th place and well within striking distance of scoring big-time player of the year points.

The rest of our weekly top are as follows: 2nd place - uksb with 58, 3rd - luddite101 with 56,  4th - DiegoCosta19 with 35, and in 5th - tmac1991fg with 27.

A bit of separation between the leader and the pack. The top 5 are as follows: tmac1991fg - 180, uksb  - 151.5, aldogg2121 - 144, luddite101 - 142, and DLewis - 137.

Our leader looks poised to pull away with just two weeks left, but we have a log jam of players from 2nd-5th who are by no means out of contention for the win. With just two slower weeks left and most everyone near the top running out of multipliers, I think we're in for a very strategic and interesting finish.

On Tap: A bit of a slower week, but certainly not devoid of pick'em opportunities. We have action from South Africa and Philly on Friday as well as fights from Mexico, Arizona and Oakland on Saturday.
