Tonight at 9 pm ET, Premier Boxing Champions is back on ESPN with a fairly intriguing main event, featuring 19-year-old super middleweight prospect David Benavidez taking on young veteran Denis Douglin in a fight set for 10 rounds.
Benavidez (15-0, 14 KO) is nicknamed "El Bandera Roja" ("The Red Flag"), and so far in his pro career, the Phoenix-based fighter has been a demolition man. Nine of his 14 stoppage wins have come in the first round, with another three coming in the second round. Last time out, he went into the seventh before stopping Francy Ntetu.
Douglin (20-4, 13 KO) was a prospect a few years ago, but has had his bubble burst a little bit. He's still a solid step up in class for Benavidez, and the 28-year-old has won three in a row following a 2014 loss to George Groves.
