Andre Berto rips Danny Garcia for choosing to fight John Molina Jr. instead of him

Word has it that Danny Garcia has opted to fight John Molina Jr. in his next outing, much to the chagrin on Andre Berto.

It appears that the much talked about fight between Danny Garcia and Andre Berto is dead in the water now that rumors are swirling that Garcia has instead chosen to face John Molina Jr. And though no official announcement has been made at this time, Berto himself has pretty much confirmed the news with a few social media posts...

If true (and it probably is), this news certainly won't endear Garcia to fans who routinely mock the fighter for cherry picking fights. Many people even favored Garcia to beat Berto in a potential fight, so the fact that Garcia - the WBC welterweight champion of the world - would pass over Berto to face a guy that's 2-3 in his last 5 fights and has basically never fought at welterweight is pretty disheartening.

Anyway...shortly after Berto spread word of the fight not happening he was interviewed by FightHype to get his thoughts on how the whole situation played out, to which Berto responded:

"Everybody know how [Garcia] get down, you know what I mean. I ain't knocking your style of trying to fight less for the most money. Man, that's all good, but don't try to throw me in like I'm outpricing myself or I'm ducking you. Come on, man, I've been barking for that fight since after this last one...Al already gave you; he gave you two gimmes them last two fights, so let's get some real shit cracking, you know what I mean. But like I say, man, I'm not in his mind, I'm not in his head. They handle their business however they want to handle it. They don't want to worry about or care too much about legacy."

How about it, fans? Danny Garcia vs. John Molina for the welterweight championship of the world!
