Badou Jack and James DeGale were both under the limit for tomorrow night’s 168-pound title unification fight, which will air live at 9:30 ET on Showtime in the United States, as well as on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom.
WBC titleholder Jack weighed in at 167¼ pounds, with IBF titleholder DeGale at 166½. The referee for their fight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn will be Arthur Mercante Jr, with veteran judges Glenn Feldman, Julie Lederman, and Steve Weisfeld assigned to score the bout from ringside.
The co-feature will also be a world title bout, as Jose Pedraza defends the IBF super featherweight title against Gervonta Davis. Pedraza weighed in at 129½, just under the 130-pound limit, with Davis at 129. It’s the first world title shot for “Tank” Davis, a Floyd Mayweather protégé. Ricky Gonzalez will be the referee, and the judges are John McKaie, Waleska Roldan, and Don Trella.
Showtime Extreme will showcase a trio of fights starting at 7 pm ET, as well, including Amanda Serrano defending her WBO super bantamweight title against Yazmin Rivas. Serrano weighed in at 120¾, with Rivas at 121½. The women’s title fight will also feature referee Sparkle Lee as the third woman in the ring, with judges Ron McNair, Kevin Morgan, and Robin Taylor at ringside.
Ievgen Khytrov and Immanuwel Aleem also made weight for their middleweight bout, as did Thomas Dulorme and Brian Jones for their welterweight fight.
