David Lemieux vs. Curtis Stevens set for March 11th in New York

Both men are coming off of rare decision victories.

Let’s try this again.

Golden Boy today announced that middleweight knockout artists David Lemieux and Curtis Stevens will finally lock horns on March 11th, headlining an HBO Boxing After Dark card from the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York. Undercard details will reportedly be announced "shortly".

Since their initial booking fell through, the fighters have earned a decision win apiece. Lemieux (36-3, 32 KO) battered the never-stopped Cristian Fabian Rios through twelve rounds on the aforementioned October 22nd date, while Stevens (29-5, 21 KO) battled through a hand injury to take a decision over James de la Rosa on the Ward-Kovalev undercard.

As I said last time, this is just a really fun fight. These two are almost assuredly going to march forward and throw hooks at each other until one of them falls over. Now they just need a decent supporting cast and we’ll have a quality evening of fights.
