Tonight at 10 pm ET on Showtime, ShoBox: The New Generation is back with its first card of 2017, a four-fight bill that features a super bantamweight eliminator in the main event.
Familiar to ShoBox viewers, Adam Lopez (16-0-1, 8 KO) is half of that main event, as he faces Daniel Roman (21-2-1, 7 KO) in the 12-round bout. Lopez, 26, had a tough outing in his last ShoBox appearance, fighting to a 10-round draw with Roman Ruben Reynoso in July 2016. Roman, also 26, has won his last 13 fights.
Also on the card:
- Ronald Ellis (13-0-1, 10 KO) vs Christopher Brooker (11-2, 5 KO), super middleweights, 8 rounds. Brooker is coming off of a loss to Ronald Gavril, while Ellis went to a draw with Jerry Odom last February on ShoBox, and won a tune-up fight later in the year.
- Kenneth Sims Jr (10-0, 3 KO) vs Emmanuel Robles (15-1-1, 5 KO). Robles lost his last fight, dropping a 10-round split decision to Steve Claggett last September, but this is still a step up for Sims.
- Stephon Young (15-0-3, 6 KO) vs Olimjon Nazarov (14-3, 8 KO). Young is 2-0-2 in his last four, while Nazarov has lost all three of his fights outside of Uzbekistan.
