Well our first month under the new format is in the books. Another up and down week with a fair amount of both high and low scores. Results this week pretty much hinged on Frampton vs Santa Cruz. All in all I think this format will work going forward in the months with more than just two pick'em worthy weeks. February will have four weeks—each week has more than enough significant action to field a nearly full sheet.
This month's big winner (and this week's winner as well) was DomA1854 with a BIG 100 points in just 2 weeks.

POY Rules - So the player of the year works pretty much the same as it always has. The only major difference is the point values for a winning season (month): 1st=15, 2nd=12.5, 3rd=10, 4th=7.5, 5th=5, 6th-10th=3, 11th-15th=2, and 16+=1 participation point. POY standings will be posted after March, June, September and December. There are 12 separate opportunities to collect player of the year points. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Don't get discouraged, anyone has a chance to win Player of the Year honors.
On Tap: Loaded sheet even if it isn't the most important fight weekend. We have solid PBC action Thursday, a comical, but interesting fight from down under Friday and few solid fights with good odds from South Africa and the UK on Saturday.
