Cotto-Kirkland: A Face-Off Antithesis

Miguel Cotto and James Kirkland model their winter collection.

So, Miguel Cotto and James Kirkland did things a little differently to start the promotion for the Feb. 25 PPV. Instead of the standard, intense stare down between two combatants, they instead opted for a more gentlemanly photo-op. Shall I call it a pose-off? Yeah, a pose-off in cardigan sweaters...all smiles.

Whatever it is I have a sneaking suspicion that it was completely Cotto's idea. I have no direct evidence of this, of course, but, I mean, come on! Just look at it! If that doesn't scream Miguel Cotto, I just don't know what does.

But for a dubiously contrived fight slated for pay-per-view on a major network -- one that is essentially destined to be a financial disaster -- it's certainly an interesting take on a fight promotion...

Why don't you tell me fans. Do you love it? Hate it? Did you find yourself laughing hysterically? I know I sure did.
