Charlo-Lubin: Face off at final press conference

Jermell Charlo will defend his junior middleweight world title tomorrow against Erickson Lubin.

Tomorrow night on Showtime, starting at 9pm ET, we’ll have a tripleheader of junior middleweight title fights featuring Jermell Charlo vs. Erickson Lubin. In this outing Charlo (29-0, 14 KOs) will be making his mandatory WBC title defense against challenger Lubin (18-0, 13 KOs) who is one of the hottest young prospects in the sport.

During the final press conference Charlo and Lubin went face to face in a tense staredown that can be seen above, courtesy of FightHub TV. This fight may well be the most interesting match-up of the three fights to air on Showtime tomorrow, with Hurd-Trout perhaps a close second.

For those who haven’t seen, you can check out some behind the scenes footage of Erickson Lubin in training camp as he prepares for his first shot a major world title. The 22-year-old may be young but he appears to be plenty composed for the biggest fight of his life.
