Conor Benn (9-0, 7 KOs), the welterweight son of former British star Nigel Benn, will be coming Stateside to fight next month. Benn has been added to the Nov. 11 HBO card being put on by Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn, headlined by Daniel Jacobs vs. Luis Arias. Benn’s fight, however, will not be apart of the HBO telecast.

Even still, Benn says he’s excited to take the next step in his career by making a connection with a brand new audience for him.

"New York here I come," Benn, 20, said. "I'm honored to be the first Matchroom U.K. fighter to box on a show out there [in the United States]. It's a real blessing. It's a massive chance for me to make a big impact in front of a new audience, and it's one that I am going to take.”

Benn is coming off of a first round KO over Nathan Clarke earlier this month but does not yet have an opponent for this appearance. Whomever he faces, it’ll be in a scheduled six-rounder.
