Anthony Joshua reflects on big win over Wladimir Klitschko

Joshua stepped onto the world stage and made a huge statement earlier this year.

Anthony Joshua will be defending his unified heavyweight world titles this weekend against Carlos Takam, but in anticipation of the fight, Showtime has released a promotional video of Joshua reflecting on the biggest win of his career against Wladimir Klitschko earlier this year.

That win was a huge deal in the heavyweight division and was also an instant classic. It additionally made Joshua the man to beat in the division. So in the video above, Joshua discusses what it was like to participate in such an huge event which drew over 90,000 fans to Wembley Stadium. Check it out...

“I’ve gained a certain thick skin. You can’t teach that, it’s just who you are,” Joshua explains as he remembers the now-legendary April 29 showdown. “And I think he found that out that night. To knock this wall down you have to have a little bit more than power, a little bit more than skill. I think it’s in my DNA.”

“This ain’t about tactics, this is about heart,” the IBF and WBA champ recalls thinking after suffering the first knockdown of his career. “This is about something that none of us have been taught. This is about who you are, so let’s find out who we are tonight.”
