Anthony Joshua will be defending his unified heavyweight world titles this weekend against Carlos Takam, but in anticipation of the fight, Showtime has released a promotional video of Joshua reflecting on the biggest win of his career against Wladimir Klitschko earlier this year.
That win was a huge deal in the heavyweight division and was also an instant classic. It additionally made Joshua the man to beat in the division. “I’ve gained a certain thick skin. You can’t teach that, it’s just who you are,” Joshua explains as he remembers the now-legendary April 29 showdown. “And I think he found that out that night. To knock this wall down you have to have a little bit more than power, a little bit more than skill. I think it’s in my DNA.”
