This morning at 8:30 am ET from Cardiff, Wales, Anthony Joshua and Carlos Takam take to the scales to weigh in for tomorrow’s main event at Principality Stadium.
Joshua (19-0, 19 KO) will be defending the IBF and WBA heavyweight titles against Takam (35-3-1, 27 KO), who has stepped in for the injured Kubrat Pulev on short notice.
Joshua is coming off of an incredible win over Wladimir Klitschko on April 29 at Wembley Stadium in one of the biggest fights of the year, and perhaps still the leading candidate for Fight of the Year.
Takam has won two straight following a May 2016 loss to Joseph Parker in New Zealand. The 36-year-old veteran is the big underdog, of course.
Also on the card: Kal Yafai (22-0, 14 KO) defends the WBA super flyweight title against Sho Ishida (24-0, 13 KO) ... Dillian Whyte (21-1, 16 KO) takes on Robert Helenius (25-1, 16 KO) in a fight for the WBC “silver” heavyweight title ... Frank Buglioni (20-2-1, 15 KO) defends the British light heavyweight title against Craig Richards (10-0, 4 KO) ... and Katie Taylor (6-0, 4 KO) goes for her first world title, challenging WBA lightweight champion Anahi Esther Sanchez (17-2, 9 KO).
