Jacobs-Arias: Full Face Off Video

Daniel Jacobs and Luis Arias faced off for the first time at their opening press conference.

At the end of the opening press conference for the November 11th fight at the Nassau Coliseum in New York, Daniel Jacobs and Luis Arias faced off in this video caught by FightHub. Also featured in this video is a face off between Jarrell Miller and Mariusz Wach.

In the main event Arias, 27, will be taking a serious step up in competition in order to make a name for himself. Arias (18-0, 8 KOs) had his best win in a stoppage over Arif Magomedov in his last outing in June, but aside from that hasn't really fought anyone of note. He was thought to have been one of Floyd Mayweather's better prospects under the Mayweather Promotions banner, but that relationship soured — unceremoniously — a few years back. He's certainly a capable fighter, but we just haven't seen him in deep yet.

Jacobs is currently riding high on confidence after being the first person to go the distance against Gennady Golovkin in nearly 10 years this past spring. And not only did he last the distance, he put up a great effort to give Golovkin a close fight on the scorecards — still believing he really won that fight.

Arias certainly won't be the most dangerous opponent Jacobs has ever faced before, at least not on paper anyway, but he can't afford to sleep on him either. If Arias really has the goods, he'll show it in this fight.
