Anthony Crolla is just two days out from his fight with Ricky Burns in Manchester, and he’s hoping that a win on Saturday will put him right back in the world title race.
From Sky Sports:
“Win this fight on Saturday night and I'm right back in world title contention. The fights against Linares didn't go my way; I know I've got to rebuild. But I don't want to be dropping down a level after being at this level for a good few years. I'm expecting a very tough fight but if I fight my fight, I come through.”
Crolla (31-6-3, 13 KO) is coming off of back-to-back losses to Jorge Linares, and his last five fights have all been for the WBA lightweight title, which he won in 2015 from Darleys Perez.
Burns (41-6-1, 14 KO) is moving back down to lightweight after losing his WBA 140-pound title to Julius Indongo in April.
