Hey Harold!: Bivol vs. Broadhurst

HBO commentator Harold Lederman gives a quick and dirty breakdown of Dmitry Bivol vs. Trent Broadhurst this weekend.

In the latest edition of Hey Harold! the HBO ringside commentator breaks down a preview or Dmitry Bivol vs. Trent Broadhurst which airs early on Saturday evening, with a prime time rebroadcast airing around 9:45pm ET. Check out what he has to say about the fight.

“November the 4th, from Monte Carlo, we’re gonna have Dmitry Bivol — a good light heavyweight — against Trent Broadhurst from Australia. This fight is for the light heavyweight title. You know, Andre Ward retired, gave up all his light heavyweight titles, so now they’re trying to find a light heavyweight champion in all these sanctioning bodies.

“Dmitry Bivol’s a very good fighter. He’s ranked, I believe, No. 11 in the world right now. Trent Broadhurst is just a kid on the way up, Bivol considered one of the really, really hot prospects in the world today — really good puncher. I expect Bivol to win this fight big, and I think we’re gonna have a good fight.”

The fact that the only thing Lederman could find to say about Broadhurst is that ‘he’s just a kid on the way up’ would suggest to you that this bout is really meant to be a showcase for Bivol, and rightly so. Broadhurst will be fighting for the first time out of Australia in this outing and against a far better opponent than he’s ever faced before.
