Frampton vs Garcia, more: Boxing fight times and TV schedule for November 17-18

Carl Frampton’s return headlines a lighter weekend in boxing.

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

Friday, November 17

FS1, 10:30 pm ET, Anthony Dirrell vs Denis Douglin. Not exactly the fight anyone hoped to see from Dirrell, but you could say that about all the fights he’s had since losing to Badou Jack in 2015. This is a special Friday night edition of FS1’s “Toe-to-Toe Tuesdays” series. BLH will have live coverage.

Saturday, November 18

BT Sport 1/BoxNation (UK), 3:30 pm ET, Carl Frampton vs Horacio Garcia, Jerwin Ancajas vs Jamie Conlan, Zolani Tete vs Siboniso Gonya. A couple of world title fights at 115 (Ancajas-Conlan) and 118 (Tete-Gonya) on the undercard, and then the return of Frampton in the main event from Belfast, as Carl looks to bounce back from his loss to Leo Santa Cruz in January.

Bounce, 9:00 pm ET, Ishe Smith vs Julian Williams. The hope here, really, is that Williams “gets well” with a victory over veteran former titleholder Smith, as Julian, at 27, has a lot more upside for the PBC brand than then 39-year-old Smith does on paper.

beIN Sports, 10:00 pm ET, Max Ornelas vs Nick Otieno.
