Tonight at 10:30 pm ET on FS1, Anthony Dirrell and Denis Douglin will headline a Premier Boxing Champions card from Dirrell’s hometown of Flint, Michigan. We’ll be here for live coverage.
Dirrell (30-1-1, 24 KO) is looking to get his career back on track. Though a winner of three straight since dropping his WBC 168-pound title to Badou Jack in 2015, Dirrell has missed out on bigger opportunities — including scheduled title bouts with Callum Smith and David Benavidez this year — either due to the opponent pulling out (Smith) or himself pulling out.
Douglin (20-5, 13 KO) is a big underdog and not a world contender — he’s shown as much losing two of his last five when he stepped up in class against George Groves and the aforementioned Benavidez.
Also on the card: welterweight prospects Jamontay Clark (12-0, 7 KO) and Domonique Dolton (19-1-1, 10 KO) meet, and junior welterweights Ryan Karl (14-1, 9 KO) and Kareem Martin (9-1-1, 3 KO) square off, as well. Both of those fights are scheduled for eight rounds, while Dirrell-Douglin is set for 10.
