Mayweather flashes speed and power in new training footage

Floyd Mayweather releases another video of himself training on social media.

At nearly 41 years of age Floyd Mayweather demonstrates that his vaunted skills haven’t evaporated just yet. Last night the future Hall of Famer posted another snippet of training footage, showcasing a lightning-fast jab that sounds like a small caliber handgun when it pops the heavy bag.

Naturally, with the training footage Floyd has been leaking recently it’s going to fuel speculation as to whether or not Mayweather has any intention of coming back for a fifty-first fight. He retired (supposedly for good this time) following an unthinkably lucrative bout against Conor McGregor this past summer.

There are plenty out there who believe the video clips Mayweather has been releasing are simply for attention, promotion, or nothing other than a guy staying in shape — and those are all perfectly justifiable sentiments. But since when does anyone need a groin protector just to work a heavy bag?

Do any of you believe there’s a legitimate chance of Floyd fighting again? And if so, who would you most like to see him take on next? Would a potential fight against Terence Crawford tickle your fancy?
