Remember that time Adrien Broner roughed up some folks on the Las Vegas strip a couple months back? Well a local judge sure does! Broner was caught on tape in September getting into an altercation on the Las Vegas strip where he pushed a woman off of him before seemingly knocking out some random pedestrian just for living. It was quite the scene.
Broner was cited for battery in this incident and ordered to appear in a local court on Monday, but in predictable Broner fashion, he failed to appear. That prompted a judge to issue a warrant for his arrest, according to TMZ.
Broner, who is obviously taking the legal proceedings quite seriously, then posted this to his Instagram account.
The former champion would then tell TMZ that he wasn’t aware of the court date in Vegas and that he would’ve appeared had he known. Then again, this certainly isn’t the first time Broner has been accused of being flippant with the judicial system. But, in fairness, it has been reported that the court summons for Broner had been returned to the court as non-deliverable as it was addressed.
Broner is said to be working on clearing up this latest legal issue but he has an outstanding warrant in the meantime.
