The semifinal round of the World Boxing Super Series’ 168lb tournament between WBA titlist George Groves (27-3, 20 KOs) and Chris Eubank Jr. (26-1,20 KOs) has been hotly anticipated — and it’s showed at the box office. It took a total of 7 minutes to sell out the tickets for the Feb. 17, 2018 fight which will be held at the Manchester Arena.

“This is a sensational start to the semi-finals of the World Boxing Super Series and the quest for the Muhammad Ali Trophy,” said Roberto Dalmiglio, Comosa’s CEO.

“I said before we went on sale that the fight between Groves and Eubank Jr. represents the boxing event fans cannot afford to miss, and I am happy to say that I was right.”

Promoter Kalle Sauerland says he will now be working to release even more tickets to the public in order to meet the demand for the event. Aside from that, the fight will also be available to watch on ITV Box Office for those of you across the pond, and it’s shaping up to be a pretty big deal.

The winner of this fight will move on to the final round of the tournament where the Muhammad Ali Trophy and another nice chunk of cash will be up for grabs.
