Deontay Wilder and Bermane Stiverne both hit the scales today ahead of tomorrow night's heavyweight title fight and, predictably, there was some tension in the air. Stiverne hit the scales first and weighed-in at 254lbs, while Wilder tipped the scale at a trim 220lbs.
Of course then, when the two fighters came face-to-face, there were a lot of verbal exchanges with officials desperately trying to get the formalities taken care of before things escalated any further. Not much happened other than the animated banter, though, so they two fighters will settle their differences in the ring. But there's still no word on whether the local coroner will be in attendance.
For the undercard fights, welterweight Shawn Porter weighed-in at 146.5lbs while Adrian Granados weighed-in at 146lbs and junior lightweight Sergey Lipnets weighed-in at 139.75lbs and Akihiro Kondo at 139.5lbs.
Every fighter hit their mark and we're good to go for tomorrow's Showtime event. A video of the Wilder-Stiverne weigh-in can be viewed above courtesy of FightHub TV.
