Tonight at 8 pm ET on ESPN Deportes and streaming live at WatchESPN.com, Golden Boy Boxing returns with a doubleheader from MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
The fights will also air on tape delay at 11 pm ET on ESPN2.
In the main event, Lamont Roach Jr (15-0, 6 KO) of Washington, DC, will look to impress near his hometown against Rey Perez (21-8, 6 KO). It’s a 10-round fight technically at lightweight, really a super featherweight bout.
Roach, 22, is a good looking prospect on the way up, and this is another fight sort of at the level of his recent bouts, as he looks to perhaps step up in competition starting in 2018. He’ll want to end 2017 well with this fight.
The co-feature is also at 130 pounds, as Jose Lopez (18-1-1, 13 KO) of Puerto Rico takes on Philadelphia’s Avery Sparrow (8-1, 3 KO) in another 10-round fight.
Time permitting, the televised swing bout would see junior welterweights George Rincon (2-0, 0 KO) and Jihad Wise (3-3, 1 KO) in four-round action.
