Bermane Stiverne gets “Donkey of the Day”

Charlamagne Tha God, like everyone else, wasn’t too impressed by Stiverne’s performance after all his brash talk.

Bermane Stiverne not only got brutally knocked out in just one round by Deontay Wilder, but his performance — or lack thereof — has now become a thing of pop culture lore. In today’s edition of Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, host Charlamagne Tha God hands Stiverne the award for ‘Donkey of the Day’, which is sort of self-explanatory.

“Now Bermane Stiverne has long dreadlocks and I guarantee he spent more time doing his hair that day than he did in the actual boxing ring fighting. Bermane really looked, on a lot of levels, like a black King Hippo...

“Bermane, how you gonna tell Deontay you gonna kill him but you the one who ended up looking dead?! When he finally got knocked out, he was draped against the ropes, he looked like he was voguing...

“I know for a fact that Bermane Stiverne did some heavy stress-eating after the fight, alright. The moral of the story is: I know you was just trying to sell a fight, you was trying to get people intrigued, but don’t write a check your ass can’t cash. Just do the press conference and simply say cliche things like ‘on Saturday the best man will win’...but there’s absolutely nothing you said in that press conference that remotely came true.

“In fact you promised to God you would win...God already knew Deontay was gonna whoop your ass. So all the praying you was doing to beat Deontay, all those prayers were sent to God’s spam folder because you was praying but wasn’t preparing. I can tell by your stomach...”
