Carlos “The Solution” Morales picked up his second straight victory on Thursday night’s ESPN2 card from Golden Boy Promotions, beating Dardan Zenunaj by technical decision in the main event from Indio, California.

Morales (17-2-3, 6 KO) won on scores of 49-46 across the board, after the fight was stopped due to a cut over his right eye, the result of a clash of heads. The 27-year-old fighter picked up the vacant NABA super featherweight title, a WBA stepping stone trinket, with the victory.

Zenunaj falls to 14-4 (11 KO) in the defeat. The fight was bumped to main event status on Wednesday, when Diego De La Hoya missed weight for a scheduled fight with Jose Salgado, and that fight was canceled.

Several other prospects were featured on the undercard, and kept their undefeated records intact with victories, including Joet Gonzalez, Joshua Franco, Marlen Esparza, and Ferdinand Kerobyan. Raul Curiel made his professional debut with a fourth round knockout victory, as well.
