HBO recaps a memorable 2017 (The Fight Game)

This year was one of the best years for boxing in a long time.

As 2017 officially comes to a close, HBO’s final installment for the year of The Fight Game covered some of the most memorable fights of the year. 2017 has been tremendous for boxing, with tons of exciting match-ups, and it was sorely needed after a putrid 2016 for the sport.

Check out the video feature above to re-live some of the classic action that took place this year. And yes, this compilation is only made up from cards that aired on HBO this year, but there was still plenty of good fights on the network worthy of a look back.

Some of the highlights in the video gives us a chance to revisit the all-out war between Miguel Berchelt and Francisco Vargas, David Lemieux delivering an electrifying knockout to beat Curtis Stevens, the heavyweight meeting between Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua, and, of course, the long-awaited middleweight showdown between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin.

Have a look for yourself! It’s definitely worth the four minutes...

(P.S. - HBO is also in the midst of uploading a number of their biggest fights from 2017 to their YouTube page. So be sure to check that out too in case you want to catch the full fights again.)
