Tonight at 9 pm ET on Bounce and (I believe) streaming live on BounceTV.com, Robert Easter Jr returns in the main event in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio, to make the first defense of his IBF lightweight title in a doubleheader.
Easter (18-0, 14 KO) isn’t expected to have any real trouble against challenger Luis Cruz (22-4-1, 16 KO), who is 2-3-1 in his last six fights and isn’t a real contender in the division. (For what it’s worth, BoxRec have him ranked No. 141 at lightweight.) Cruz’s only real hope are his heavy hands, but the long, tall Easter towers over him and has a lot more in his toolset.
Rau’shee Warren (14-1, 4 KO) will also be defending his WBA bantamweight title, taking on Kazakhstan’s Zhanat Zhakiyanov (26-1, 18 KO) in a slightly better matchup. Zhakiyanov hasn’t fought since November 2015, when he scraped past Yonfrez Parejo via split decision in Monte Carlo, while Warren is coming off of his title win, in a rematch against Juan Carlos Payano.
As long as the fights are streaming as usual, we’ll be here with live coverage. You can also check out a list of affiliates for a way you can watch Bounce with a digital antenna, if you have one.
