PBC on Bounce peaks at 557,000 viewers

Robert Easter Jr. retained his title in the main event while Rau'shee Warren lost his in the co-main.

Premier Boxing Champions did decent work this past weekend, pulling in its best numbers yet on Bounce TV despite a relative lack of star power. According to a Bounce press release, viewership peaked at 557k viewers, while the event and its rerun combined for 1.5 million total viewers.

Interestingly, the median viewer age of 44 was the program’s youngest to date.

Terrell Gausha opened the show with a decision win over Luis Hernandez, after which Zhanat Zhakiyanov upset WBA bantamweight champ Rau’shee Warren in a competitive co-main event. Finally, Robert Easter Jr. scored an expected blowout by dominating Luis Cruz.

These numbers definitely bode well for PBC, which just recently appeared to be on its last legs. They’ve got a strong slate coming up, including Adrien Broner vs. Adran Granados this weekend and the awesome Danny Garcia vs. Keith Thurman in March.

We can only hope that Haymon uses his newfound powers for good.
