Mayweather vs McGregor odds posted, Floyd heavy favorite

Floyd Mayweather’s a heavy favorite against Conor McGregor, though in reality, not heavy enough.

There are odds now posted by the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook for a potential Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor boxing match, and, well, Mayweather is the obvious heavy favorite:

In all candor, and with due respect to McGregor as a mixed martial artist, these odds are frankly generous to Conor. If odds were about properly handicapping a bout instead of just taking money from reckless rubes, Mayweather would be a -10000 favorite in this thing, at least.

You know, because he’s the greatest boxer of his generation, while Conor McGregor is not a boxer.

Mayweather opened at -4000, which is significantly bigger than -2500, to face actual professional boxer Andre Berto — who would also smoke McGregor in a boxing match, by the way, on account of being a professional boxer — in his last fight in September 2015.

So there’s your latest update on Mayweather-McGregor. You can now bet money on it, just in case it happens.
