Tonight at 8 pm ET on FOX, Premier Boxing Champions returns with a world title doubleheader from Alabama, with Deontay Wilder defending his WBC heavyweight title against Gerald Washington in the main event.
Wilder (37-0, 36 KO) is the heavy favorite against Washington (18-0-1, 12 KO), a former football player and boxing project who has stumbled a bit as he’s climbed the ladder. Washington is a short notice replacement for Andrzej Wawrzyk, facing the comebacking Wilder, who went through some injuries after his last fight in July 2016.
The real fight to tune in to see will be between Jarrett Hurd (19-0, 13 KO) and Tony Harrison (24-1, 20 KO), two young junior middleweights going after the vacant IBF junior middleweight title, recently relinquished by Jermall Charlo. This fight promises fireworks on paper, as both young men can punch and bring the action.
Wil Esco will be on the round-by-round call tonight. Join us! YOU THOUGHT IT WAS WIL, BUT IT WAS ME, STUMBERG!
