Junior lightweight Jason Sosa says he is relishing the opportunity to challenge all-world champion Vasyl Lomachenko on April 8th. Speaking to WBN, Sosa says that champions should be fighting other champions while also adding that he has no concerns about entering the fight as a considerable underdog.

“I think it's a dream come true and what champions are supposed to do - fight champions,” Sosa exclusively told World Boxing News when asked his thoughts on the announcement.”

And despite Lomachenko’s other-worldly skills inside the squared-circle, Sosa says the fact that he’ll actually be looking to fight back against Lomachenko makes him a live dog in the bout. He also thinks it will pose serious problems for the Ukrainian standout.

“Loma is a challenge for me. He’s one of the best out there and I love challenges. There is weakness in him though as I believe someone that is going to actually fight back will give him problems.”

Should Sosa be able to pull off a big win in this fight, it would legitimately change his career trajectory.
