Danny Garcia: Undefeated

Garcia gives Ecko a behind the scenes look at his life and training.

Wil Esco is an assistant editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2014.

As Danny Garcia gets ready to unify titles with Keith Thurman this weekend, Garcia gives Ecko an exclusive look into his life at home as a family man, determined fighter, and boy from the streets of Philadelphia who wanted to become the next great Puerto Rican fighter.

“You really got to believe that you can be unstoppable, ‘cause a lot of times fighters, they can do everything right - they could train right, they could run, they could do everything perfect - but if [mentally] they’re not ready before they get in the ring, they lost.” - Angel Garcia, Trainer

This short film goes into the psyche of a fighter who was built from a young age to cope with and overcome adversity. Danny also details his routine while in training camp, his close relationship with his father/trainer, and we get a glimpse of the emotional toll his career path has on his family.
