No cable or satellite anymore because it’s 2017 and you became a cord cutter? Well, good news, the Gennady Golovkin-Daniel Jacobs pay-per-view on Saturday will be available online, streaming at RingTV.com.
“For years, we have been heavily investing in technology and platforms that will allow a new generation of fans — those who want to view fights or any other content where they want to, when and how they want to — access to our sport,” Oscar De La Hoya said in a press release.
“The live stream of Golovkin vs Jacobs is an enormous step towards revolutionizing the delivery of boxing content in order to diversify boxing’s fan base and keep the sport growing for decades to come.”
While this may seem a hair over the top on the surface, there’s no question that having an online pay-per-view option is essential in today’s world, and too many boxing pay-per-views have not been available on this platform.
The pay-per-view stream will be available to all U.S. users at $64.99, the same cost as the HD pay-per-view through traditional outlets, and will, of course, include the full pay-per-view undercard, featuring the returns of Roman Gonzalez and Carlos Cuadras in separate fights.
