Hughie Fury won’t have his father/trainer in his corner when he takes on Joseph Parker in May.

As Hughie Fury embarks on his first world title shot against WBO titlist Joseph parker on May 6, it looks like he won’t have the benefit of having his father and trainer working his corner. ESPN is reporting that Peter Fury has been denied a visa into New Zealand where the title fight is scheduled to take place

Fury had applied for a ‘special direction’ exemption on his visa application but the authorities decided otherwise while saying saying:

"Mr Fury was ineligible for a visa unless granted a special direction.

"His case was fully considered and all representations submitted on Mr Fury's behalf were taken into account before a decision was made to decline his request for a special direction."

This could prove to be a tough blow for a fighter in their first world title fight. Hughie Fury (20-0, 10 KOs) hasn’t fought since winning a technical decision against Fred Kassi last April.

Tell me fans, do you think this will spell disaster for Hughie?
