Haye-Bellew: Weigh-In and Face Off

Tony Bellew tipped the scales at just over 213lbs while David Haye weighed-in just over 224lbs.

Wil Esco is an assistant editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2014.

As David Haye and Tony Bellew met today for their official weigh-in, Bellew was thrilled to see Haye weigh-in at the second heaviest mark of his career - just above 224lbs.

"I thought he'd be lighter, I'm over the moon about his weight. He's going to gas," said Bellew

Haye, conversely, believes his weight advantage over Bellew (who weighed-in just over 213lbs) is going to serve him well as he plans on shocking Bellew with his power.

"He'll find out what it's like to be hit by a heavyweight, it's a whole different sport," said Haye. "He's unprepared, and he doesn't know it."

"I'm a whole size bigger than him. 16st ripped, with nine per cent body fat."

Now that all the talking and promotional duties are officially over, David Haye and Tony Bellew can finally settle their grudge match inside of the ring tomorrow on Sky Sports Box Office. It should be a fun atmosphere for as long as it lasts.
