Well folks, it looks like we’ve finally come full circle - Manny Pacquiao is expected to finalize a deal to face Australia’s Jeff Horn this week for a fight to take place on July 2 in Brisbane according to multiple sources, including RingTV. Pacquiao’s trusted advisor Michael Koncz had this to say about the fight:

“We are finalizing the terms,” Koncz says in a text message on Thursday, March 30, the deadline Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum had given Pacquiao’s side to agree to the fight. Koncz adds the deal “should be finalized by end of week.”

Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum was reported to have given Pacquiao a short deadline to accept the deal after balking at the fight a few months back. But with the Australian money already on the table for this offer, Arum didn’t want to waste any more time chasing pipe dreams in Dubai.

Arum has also gone on record saying that Pacquiao is unlikely to fight again in the United States unless a truly big fight emerges, considering slumping PPV sales. To that end Arum says that Pacquiao already has offers on the table to fight in Qatar and South Africa later this year.

But as for the here and now, tell me how thrilled you all are about this Pacquiao-Horn fight!
