I don’t know whether Adrien Broner just misses the clink or what, but he found his way back there after being picked up by police in Covington. Broner was due to make a court appearance yesterday to discuss a disorderly conduct charge, but never showed up, causing authorities to issue a warrant for his arrest.
You may recall that just last year Broner had a hell of a time with the criminal justice system. Last spring he was charged with armed robbery after losing a bunch of money in high-stakes bets at a local bowling alley. Then, shortly thereafter, Broner had to serve 10 days for a probation violation stemming from unrelated DUI charges. And yet again, little more than a couple months after that, Broner had to serve 30 days in jail for contempt after he appeared to trial 3 hours late to face the robbery charges in the bowling incident.
Broner was reportedly bailed out of jail at 5AM this morning in this latest run-in with the law, but he’ll probably want to keep his nose clean if he’s to land a major fight in near future, something he’s been rumored to be in consideration for.
