There are choices for your boxing viewing this afternoon, with a couple of notable main events coming your way from the United Kingdom on Sky Sports and BT Sport.
On Sky Sports (2:30 pm ET), super middleweights Martin Murray (34-4-1, 16 KO) and Gabriel Rosado (23-10, 13 KO) will meet in a 12-round fight for a minor WBA title and positioning in the rankings for that sanctioning body. This is a fight of battle-tested (and battle-worn) veterans, well-matched and could be quite entertaining.
On BT Sport (2:30 pm ET), there’s a slate of solid matchups and names. In the main event, middleweights Tommy Langford (18-0, 6 KO) and Avtandil Khurtsidze (32-2-2, 21 KO) meet in a 12-round fight for the interim WBO title, the full belt held by Billy Joe Saunders. Khurtsidze is a whirlwind of action, but at 5’4” is exceptionally short for the division. Langford will need a measured approach. It’s a compelling style matchup, as most things with Khurtsidze are.
Also on that card, Zolani Tete (24-3, 20 KO) and Arthur Villanueva (30-1, 16 KO) meet in a 12-round bout that will have big fight implications, and Tyrone Nurse (34-2-1, 7 KO) will defend his British junior welterweight title against Joe Hughes (15-2, 6 KO).
And if you’re looking to get out of the UK for your afternoon boxing, Arthur Abraham (45-5, 30 KO) will be facing Robin Krasniqi (46-4, 17 KO) in Germany (MDR, 4:30 pm ET).
