Tyson Fury says he’s made his mind up and that he’ll do what it takes to re-stake his claim in heavyweight glory.

Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has announced on social media that after having an in-depth discussion with Billy Joe Saunders, who he’s currently training with in Marbella, he’s absolutely sure about his future and that he’ll be getting fit and returning to boxing in the near future.

Fury has been said to have ballooned to about 365lbs since he last fought in 2015, but he promises that he’ll lose over 100lbs and come back to take over the heavyweight division.

“Just been sat downstairs will Billy Joe and had an in-depth conversation about our lives and careers, and what we wanna do and where we wanna go. You know I’ve never been sure, even the day after the Klitschko fight, that I’d ever fight again. Well the thing is I’ve made me mind up. I am definitely, definitely going to return. God willing - Inshallah - I will return and return to my best.

“I don’t believe, on a serious note, there’s a heavyweight out there that can lace my boots up. Any of ‘em! And I’m gonna prove the world wrong yet again. They didn’t give me a prayer last time, and a lot of people are not even giving me a prayer to lose the weight, but I will do it. Hundred percent.”

Saunders even posted a video just a few hours ago of him going on a run through Marbella with good-spirited Fury in tow.

By Saunders account, Fury has already begun shedding some pounds. Best of luck to Fury who seems to be in a much better place than he was just a few months ago.
