Filipino fighter Jerwin Ancajas (26-1-1, 17 KOs) is set to defend his IBF junior bantamweight title against his mandatory challenger, Teiru Kinoshita of Japan. The title defense will be held on July 2nd as part of the undercard for Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeff Horn.

RingTV had the news confirmed to them by matchmaker Sean Gibbons, who works for MP Promotions.

Ancajas, 25, is most recently coming off of a stoppage win over Jose Alfredo Rodriguez at the top of the year following a unanimous decision win over McJoe Arroyo, from whom he won the IBF strap last September.

His opponent Kinoshita, 31, is currently rated #3 by the IBF and is riding a six-fight winning streak, with his last three coming by knockout (although it should be noted that his last two fights came against fighters making their professional debuts). Taking that into account, his level of opposition hasn’t been great, but he’s also fought his entire career in his native Japan.
