Barry McGuigan talks his favorite fighters to watch

Barry McGuigan says he appreciates boxing stylists but says that some are just plain boring to watch.

McGuigan on who is his favorite fighter to watch right now:

"I'm a big fan of, massive fan of GGG. Love him. He's just riveting...because he comes and gets you. He doesn't back off, he comes and gets ya and I mean, something about me, and the Mexicans love him too because he doesn't muck around. He just comes and gets you and I love and admire boxing skills, don't get me wrong, and the super lightweight champion, what's his name...[Terence] Crawford - absolutely brilliant. Love his skill, love him as a fighter, love [Sergey] Kovalev, love Andre Ward too but more excited about Kovalev because he's a seek and destroy merchant.

"Lomachenko - unbelievable. Unbelievable to watch. And I admire people like [Guillermo] Rigondeaux but he bores the pants off me because he just does the same thing over and over again. You know you can only watch skill for a certain amount of time and then it just bores you, and you want to see action. I love action fighters. And Duran, Pepino Cuevas, Zarate, Zamora, Alexis Arguello, Aaron Pryor - those are the fighters that I loved to watch. And of course Tommy Hearns, Leonard...I could never have been as good as them but I wanted to be like them and they inspired me. And those are the guys that make kids want to dedicate their lives to boxing - those are the guys.

"You look at Erik Morales, you look at Barrera, and kids just go 'if I can be like that I'll be willing to give up the rest of my life - if I can be like that'. Often very few of them can do it, but that is what inspiration is all about...that's what makes you change your life."
