According to ESPN’s Dan Rafael, it may be a few weeks before the host site for the Sep. 16 Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin fight is decided. Golden Boy president Eric Gomez told the network yesterday that there are a number of venues around the world which have serious interest in hosting the big fight.

Some of the sites that have contacted Golden Boy, expressing their interest, are Dodger Stadium (Los Angeles, CA), AT&T Stadium (Arlington, TX), and Madison Square Garden (New York, NY). Oh, and you know it’s not a big event if there aren’t calls coming in from Dubai - which Golden Boy CEO Oscar De La Hoya has affirmed as being the case.

De La Hoya is expected to attend several meetings with executives from the various sites during the next couple of weeks before they ultimately decide where the bout will be held.

What venue do you believe would be most fitting for this event?
