In this interview by iFL TV, Kell Brook talks about his training camp and how he’s feeling while making his way back down to 147lbs. Check out what he had to say....
On how he’s feeling:
“I’ve come back down to welterweight, it’s been tough, been hard, but less than two weeks to go, as you can see, I’m tanned up, I’m lean, I’m ready to fight - a fighting machine.
On if he’s already in fight mode:
“I’m in fight zone...I’ve still got a few pounds to lose but, you know, as you can see, I feel brand new. I actually feel good, this weight. I think me nutritionist Greg Marriott...he brought new things to the game. He tried new things on other people but when it comes to the champ he’s got it all perfected so we’ve been getting that weight down, we’re on target...you could see me moving around the gym, I’m fast on my feet, you hear the punching power - I’m smiling, I’m ready to go...Let me go!”
On if he gets tired of fight week promotional duties:
“The only time I’m in a happy place is when I’m asleep. I’ve got Errol Spence on my mind. I was built for this. I’m looking forward to be fighting at Bramall Lane, I can’t wait to see my family...The best fighting the best, don’t forget. The welterweight, nobody wants to fight him in America, he’s supposed to be this massive big thing - he’s fighting this big welterweight from England in me who has never lost at welterweight...This is gonna be the best welterweight fight...
“This is going to be a very tough fight, let me put that in there. This is going to be like one of the toughest fights I’ve ever had. But I’ve took my mind to them places where I’m gonna have to go really hard in the fight and like I said, I’m gonna get over this and another top fighter, you know I’ve got a lot of time to watch that Keith Thurman. You know he’s one of my favorite fighters to be honest with you. And I’m looking forward to locking horns with him at the end of the year, I’d love that fight.”
