Mayweather leans Spence over Brook

Floyd Mayweather says that he’s leaning towards Errol Spence beating Kell Brook this weekend.

In this video interview caught by FightHub, Floyd Mayweather is asked for his take on this Saturday’s big showdown between welterweight title holder Kell Brook and Errol Spence Jr.

Mayweather, who has publicly endorsed Spence as the next big thing in boxing, obviously gives him the edge to beat Brook this weekend:

“That’s a good match-up. That’s a good match-up. Errol Spence, he’s a helluva fighter. Um, if he’s the same Errol Spence, I have to lean towards Errol Spence. Well, you know, Errol Spence is - we’ve never seen him in the late rounds.

“We’ve seen him fight good in the first six, we have a lot of fighters who fight good in the first six, and I take nothing away from him. He’s a good puncher, a good boxer, but sometimes us as fighters when we’re put in positions, it brings the best out of us. So he’s in a position now where he can take advantage of - where it may bring the best out of him.”
