Sky Sports has unveiled its promotional feature on Errol Spence Jr. as he gets ready to vie for the IBF world title this weekend.
The video kicks off with Spence arriving in England and getting into a face-to-face confrontation with Brook during their opening press conferences, with Spence challenging Brook to stand toe-to-toe with him at center ring.
The next segment takes place back in Spence’s home state of Texas — featuring cattle, country music, cowboys and all. Shortly thereafter we see Spence working out at his local gym alongside trainer Derrick James and WBC junior middleweight titlist Jermell Charlo.
“Jermell Charlo inspires me a lot because, you know, he’s in there trading shots, going all these rounds with a world champion, you know it’s great work just to spar him to get ready for Kell Brook ‘cause he’s longer, he’s bigger than Kell Brook. And I think he’s faster than Kell Brook too so you can’t get better work than sparring a world champion.” - Errol Spence
After the gym session we get a glimpse of Spence’s home life in Desoto, TX., introducing his two young daughters and his girlfriend while also reminiscing about his childhood and how he got into boxing to begin with.
