We’re now just one day away from the big welterweight showdown between IBF titlist Kell Brook and Errol Spence Jr. And if you’ve been paying attention these past few weeks, then you probably know that Spence, the challenger, is not only the betting favorite but has also been picked by a majority of boxing pundits to win the fight — something Kell Brook finds slightly amusing, telling ESPN:
"Look at what I've done, look at the challenges I have had to overcome and then explain to me how he is the favourite," asked Brook. "It's a joke, I mean, he's a good fighter, but he's never been anywhere near a boxer like me."
Brook’s trainer, Dominic Ingle, doubled down on that viewpoint, saying that there’s nothing Spence can bring to the table tomorrow that is going to shock Brook.
"There is nothing that Spence can do that Kell has not dealt with before -- Kell will be there from the start and Spence has never had to deal with that," insisted Dominic Ingle.
However strong their convictions are about the matter, Brook will have the opportunity to prove himself right early tomorrow evening on Showtime. The show kicks off at 5:15pm ET, and judging from all the energy surrounding the fight, we’re in for another great show.
