Listen, it’s a big night for boxing. Not because of the fight we saw, but because of the fight we’ll see: Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin on September 16.
I know some of you have doubts that it’s actually happening, and perhaps that’s logical enough. But HBO has already started promoting it, and they don’t do that unless the deal is done.
What we know:
- The fight is happening on September 16
- The fight’s weight will be 160 pounds
- Golovkin will be defending the WBC, IBF, and WBA titles, and Alvarez the RING Magazine championship
So we’re here. It’s done. It’s happening. It’s coming.
Now who wins?
