Eddie Ramirez (16-0, 11 KO), who beat down fellow PBC regulars Kevin Watts and Ryan Karl in his last two fights, headlines a June 20th Vegas card against Erick Bone (16-4, 8 KO), who has technically lost three straight but gave Shawn Porter, Chris Algieri, and Miguel Vazquez solid fights despite the first and third coming on short notice. Earl Newman (10-0, 7 KO) faces Lionell Thompson (18-4, 11 KO), whose last two losses were split decisions against Radivoje Kalajdzic and Paul Parker, in the light heavyweight co-feature.
One week later, Miguel Cruz (15-0, 11 KO) will rematch Alex Martin (13-1, 5 KO) in Bethlehem after winning a narrow split decision in January. Towering welterweight Jamal James (20-1, 9 KO) will attempt to rebound from his loss to Yordenis Ugas against Samuel Figueroa (11-1, 4 KO), another Cruz split decision victim, in the co-main event.
The biggest news, however, is the return of “J-Rock” on June 30th. Julian Williams (22-1-1, 14 KO) will return to action for the first time since falling to Jermall Charlo in December, taking on Joshua Conley (14-1-1, 9 KO) in the co-feature of Robert Easter Jr. vs. Denis Shafikov.
Solid lineup of well-matched prospect fights. Good PBC fare, I’d say.
